The same date also sees the release of Finnr's Cane successor to their acclaimed debut "Wanderlust". "A Portrait Painted By The Sun" comes as CD Digipak and may already be pre-ordered as well.
Please also note that due to the unbroken demand we are issuing a new edition of the Helrunar/ Árstíðir lífsins split LP "Fragments - A Mythological Excavation". The new edition comes with silver coloured vinyl incl. two posters and is limited to 500 copies again. It's already in stock and ready for shipping.

einige Zeit im Entstehen begriffen, sind wir stolz, endlich das erste Falkenbach-Album unter dem Prophecy-Banner präsentieren zu können: "Asa" wird am 01.11. erscheinen und kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden.

It is characterised by a steady flow of both mellow and aggressive passages, blends harsh vocals with clean singing in an almost extinct West Germanic dialect and is once more remarkably epic as well as wistful. Ein halbes Jahr nach der begeistert aufgenommenen "Eweroun"-Vinyl-Single legen Falkenbach ihr sechstes Album "Asa" vor, mit dem die Impulsgeber des heidnischen Metal einen standesgemäßen Albumeinstand bei Prophecy Productions feiern. "Asa" ist in jeder Hinsicht typisch für Falkenbach und bietet stilistisch einen Querschnitt aus allen Schaffensperioden des Projekts. Finnr's Cane's 2010 debut was an excellent winter album with which the band created an individual mixture between pacing Black Metal and sublime Post Rock to carve its own niche. With the music on "A Portrait Painted By The Sun", The Bard, The Peasant and The Slave follow up neatlessly while the band's concept is developed further. Whereas "Wanderlust" reprensented the austerity of winter, the name "A Portrait Painted By The Sun" practically speaks for itself. Finnr's Cane paint a subtly vernal image characterised by a softly warm aura, which is telling with respect to the musicans' progress.
Mit ihrem Debüt "Wanderlust" kreierten Finnr's Cane anno 2010 ein Winteralbum par excellence und erschufen sich mit einer individuellen Melange von getragenem Black Metal und erhabenem Post Rock ihre eigene Nische. Mit "A Portrait Painted By The Sun" knüpft das Trio bestehend aus The Bard, The Peasant und The Slave musikalisch nahtlos an "Wanderlust" an und entwickelt sich konzeptionell dennoch weiter.
